The Stoelenproject is the most accessible evening and night shelter in Amsterdam.
The shelter is basic, but safe, warm and free. Every evening and night, 50 homeless people stay in our shelter on the Marnixstraat.
From September 15 to April 30, we accommodate 10,000 overnight stays with 75 volunteers. Since 1989.
The Stoelenproject is a basic shelter. We offer a safe and warm environment with mattresses to sleep on, an evening meal, sandwiches in the morning, coffee and tea, and basic bathrooms.
The Municipality of Amsterdam is our main sponsor. We are also dependent on donations and legacies, for example for our mattresses, maintenance to the building or other new initiatives.
